Description: We've constructed the Emek Lumbar Pack with all the details that make our lumbar pack line so desirable: a fully padded, removable Drylexâ„¢ hip belt and inch-thick reticulated foam lumbar pad; a grab handle at the top for convenient carrying by hand; heavy-duty zippers and protective storm flaps on the main compartment and exterior gusseted pocket; and a double layer of Cordura at the bottom for extra durability. The Emek has the same HDPE frame sheet and aluminum stiffener as the Hermon. When more space is needed, the Emek converts into a full daypack with the opening of its uppermost zipper, revealing a 9" pack extension with storm-flapped, double-head zipper closure and additional grab handle. The bottom of this compartment can be unzipped or closed to allow a versatile custom pack configuration of one storage compartment or two. When not needed, the pack extension tucks away easily into its zippered compartment.The Emek comes with a military harness suspension system that enables the user to carry loads over 10 lbs. with ease, whether in fanny pack or daypack mode.
