Description: The Military Harness System (MHS) is compatible with all Jandd lumbar packs. It is intended for use with loads over 10 pounds and is built to endure the most extreme conditions. The MHS consists of two padded shoulder straps with continuous daisy chains and D-rings at each end, allowing for the attachment of quick-access items. The sternum strap also attaches through the daisy chain and can be moved to accommodate different body types.

Installation Instructions:
 Lay the harness out on the ground in the shape of an "H". Locate the front straps (the side with the Tensionlockâ„¢ buckles) and the rectangular common loops located on the lower edge of the pack near the bottom edge of the belt. Make sure the SlipLocâ„¢ buckle is on the harness end of the webbing and slide the free end through the common loop. Feed the free end of the webbing back through the SlipLocâ„¢ buckle (see Figure 1). Next, put the pack on and adjust the individual webbing straps to fit your physique. The shoulder pads should be comfortably centered on your shoulders, the sternum strap put through the daisy loop closest to your sternum, and the rear shoulder width strap aligned and set to a relaxed width. Once the harness is fit, lock off all straps by doubling them back through the SlipLocsâ„¢ (see Figure 2). Excess webbing can be cut and sealed with a flame, but it is advisable to use the system on a few outings before trimming, in case any fine tuning is needed.
