Raked Waist Belt

rake (n): inclination from either perpendicular or horizontal: SLANT

Hey, it's right there in the dictionary. Why are we the only ones to do this with all of our smaller daypacks and midsize packs? Everyone at one time or another has put on a small pack with a waist belt and realized it's something akin to a low-riding sternum strap. Jandd's raked waist belt brings the belt into the pack at an angle to better fit the wearer. Jandd just introduced this in 1999 for our daypacks and mid-size packs. Remember you saw it here first.
